Rare Hester Bateman silver teapot on matching teapot stand made in London in 1784.  The teapot features an unusual mother-of-pearl carved pineapple finial, and also a flush hinge.  Both pieces have contemporaneous interlocking initials.  Offered in good condition and ready for use, the teapot pours well, doesn’t leak and holds six cupfuls.  This elegant, straight-sided teapot and stand will enhance any dining room.
