Cowie & Sons Circa 1815-1820
Rare double coaster wagon made in 1815-1820 by the short-lived Cowie & Sons of Long Acre, London. Both coasters unscrew from the carriage so as to be easily cleaned. The detail of the silver mounts are sharp and nothing at all is worn on the wagon. Note the wrapped over edges on the wheels – this technique was only done on Old Sheffield Plate so as to disguise the exposed edge. This is a rare find and a brilliant addition to any dining table.
