Rare Victorian silver-topped lemonade jug

John Grinsell & Co London 1900

£1,575

Rare solid silver and hobnail cut lead crystal lemonade jug with its original ice container. Made by the always stylish and quirky Victorian silversmith John Grinsell & Sons and offered in good condition. The jug can also be used for chilled white wine or without the insert to increase capacity. The jug without the insert holds 1.2 litres and without 900 ml, more than a full size bottle of wine. It pours beautifully, feels good in the hand and of course does not leak.
