Very rare solid silver and whalebone handled toddy ladle made in Inverness c1880. The finial is the symbol of the Royal Burgh of Inverness ie a shield with Jesus on the cross supported either side by an elephant and a camel. Offered in good condition the bowl is inset with a silver George IV coin.
