Truly rare silver mounted Aberdeen pink granite ice/biscuit box offered in excellent condition.

The box was commissioned by local Aberdeen retailers M. Rettie & Sons with local pink granite and sent to Sheffield to be mounted by Roberts & Belk. M. Rettie were used to retailing small pieces of jewellery with silver mounted granite made usually in Glasgow or Edinburgh. This was a specialist job and needed the skills of Roberts & Belk, a quality firm of Sheffield silversmiths. This will be a lovely addition to any collection of unusual silver as well as being functional.
